ゲストI wanted to share a small win because I know a bunch of us in Ajman are dealing with the same inventory headaches and maybe this will encourage someone else to just go for it. I’ve been complaining for ages about how messy my packaging storage had gotten and how I could never find what I needed when orders came in, and this weekend I finally cleared everything out, consolidated down to a much smaller range of box sizes and materials, and set up proper zones instead of just stacking things wherever. The whole time I was doing it I kept thinking about an article I’d read at https://comingsoon.ae/articles/how-packaging-standardization-improves-inventory-forecasting/ that explained how having consistent packaging actually makes it easier to predict what you’ll need and keep track of what you have. I figured if I was going to put in the effort to reorganize I might as well do it in a way that sets me up for less chaos going forward instead of just tidying up the same messy system. Took pretty much the whole weekend and there were definitely moments where I wondered if I was making more work for myself, but now that it’s done I can actually see everything at a glance and packing orders today felt almost relaxing compared to how it used to be. Still early days but I’m hopeful this actually sticks. Anyone else done a big reorganization and found it made a bigger difference than you expected?
