ゲストThe best setting powder for mature skin that we’ve found is the Vichy Dermablend Setting Powder, available from Boots. It comes with a water-resistant finish and is great for making foundation last all day. The brand claims that, when used with Dermablend foundations, this staying power last even longer but we haven’t put that to the test yet. Sometimes confused with setting powder is the Finishing Powder. This powder is supposed to go on top of the setting powder to give a “finished” look as the name suggests. This gives a look akin to a face filter, but needs to be applied with a light hand and blended well. Some brands use the terms setting and finishing powder interchangeably though, so you’d have to check which is which by the product’s recommended use. It’s super matte and ideal for skin types that are oily or combination. So I loveeeeee wearing this in the summer particularly or when it’s extremely humid outside because it just soaks up extra greasiness. It’s a very soft and light texture. I wouldn’t really recommend it if you have drier skin though because of the fact that it is so matte; it could be too dry flat for you or accentuate dry skin conditions! Also, a little goes a long way, so start with a smaller amount and work your way up as needed.

Designed for dense and natural color application, the Rimmel London kohl eyeliner can give you dramatic eyes easily. It is formulated to blend into the lid for a pretty, smudged look. The liner has a rich formulation that ensures smooth and bold lines for beautifully defined eyes. The product is vegan a cruelty free which is a hallmark of Kat’s products. I love this not only for the waterline but also for the inner corners or the eye, or if you want to do a furthering widening effect and do the lower lashline in addition to the waterline with a darker liner or shadow underneath to create the illusion of even bigger eyes! The Ink liner is a definite must-have! You have 10 shades to choose from but our personal favorite is the deep cherry red, Madder Red, which highlights green eyes without looking sickly. Plus, the twist-up applicator is easy to use and requires no sharpening — a win on mornings you just can’t be bothered. -
