Do not send money to strangers or they will scam you, as well as do not fall for “money flipping” offers that promise quick returns. Do not communicate with support from outside of the app—Cash App will never ask for your PIN or sign in code and is never counted as using a Cash App verification system. So be careful to any unsolicited messages, especially on a social media, and never share personal or even banking information. Turn on two-factor authentication and keep checking your transaction history. If you feel off, you are most likely off. The way to protect yourself from Cash App fraud is to stay skeptical and informed.
